The most human-like sound experience - Zylia demonstrates fully navigable live-recorded opera performance
POZNAN, Poland — July 27, 2020
Zylia, an industry leader in the field of 3D audio recording, created a new, advanced demonstration that shows possibilities of fully navigable 6 Degrees of Freedom audio. This unique, first in the world technology allows users to smoothly and flexibly move within the recorded sound scene.

In the new demonstration Zylia is taking the listener for a walk around virtual concert hall filled with fully navigable live-recorded Mozart music to show the possibilities of ZYLIA 6dof VR/AR set. 11 musicians are placed among 30 Ambisonics spheres so the listener can navigate smoothly around the scene and experience the sound from anyplace – close perspective, the backstage or the audience. It is the most human-like sound experience available in the market. Moreover, ZYLIA 6DoF Navigable 3D Audio Solution allows to connect unlimited ZYLIA ZM-1S microphone arrays and use only one computer to record, navigate and stream.
With ZYLIA 6dof VR/AR set it is possible to record high-resolution 3rd order Ambisonics sounds from concert halls, ambient soundscapes, and live concerts in a fully navigable way. The realistic, multidimensional sound can be implemented to the video content to create a fully immersive experience.

Company Quote:
„Applications of 6DoF audio and our technology are wide. Cinematic trailers for VR projects, naturally sounded audio for games, live performances recording, artistic audio content for domes with multi-loudspeakers installations, or virtual presentation of unique places are just a few examples. You as a listener can freely move throughout the recorded scene going closer, further, up, or down from the sound source. Moreover, spatial resolution is so high that you have a feeling of being “there” – says Tomasz Żernicki, CEO, Zylia.

The technology adopted in ZYLIA 6DoF VR/AR set allows us to record sounds from multiple places simultaneously – which then provides an unlimited number of possible listening spots around the area. The listener can move, turn around, tilt their head in any direction, and the sound will change corresponding to the position of their ears.
The possibilities of the Zylia solution can be appreciated especially by the music artists. They can use this immersive 3D audio technology to connect even more with their audiences, having much more flexibility in fulfilling their fans’ expectations for an outstanding and up-close experience of the live performance.
